This treatment regimen as shown to be effective by clinical outcome measures, offering real hope where there has been very little for patients with these conditions. There is hope for your vision! Keep crafting, reading, driving, working and living your best life!
What can you expect with Macular Regeneration? The initial consultation will include a full health history and intake, eye exams to establish a vision baseline, education on nutrition and lifestyle will be reviewed and two 30 minute treatments in a row. The acupuncture points in this treatment are mainly in the hands and feet. No needles in the eyes! Microcurrent and red light therapy are given during the treatment. You can expect to be in the clinic for about 2 hours this first day. Each follow-up treatment day consists of a health check-in and two 30 minute acupuncture treatments back to back with microcurrent and red light therapy included. You can expect to be in the clinic for about 75 minutes for follow-up appointments. The initial set of treatments are best if they are very close together. It is best to have two treatments a day every weekday for the first week or two. It is then common to come in every week for two 30 minute treatments to maintain your eye health. As your health increases once every other week or less can be achieved and if there are health set backs a small course of closely scheduled treatments can help to stabilize. Just like all acupuncture for degenerative diseases it depends on how your body responds and how you are learning and practicing supporting yourself outside the clinic with hydration, nutrition, lifestyle and more. Microcurrent and red light therapy are well documented to help with degenerative eye diseases. It is putting raw energy into the system that then can be directed with acupuncture. It is a powerful combination. For the Macular Regeneration protocol it is reasonable to expect 25 to 40 visits in a year to prevent further degeneration and increase visual acuity. Keep in mind that macular degeneration is something that has been developing in the body for years. It takes time and commitment on the part of the patient and practitioner to make gains.

Research about Macular Regeneration: Micro Acupuncture Treatment of Macular Degeneration: Of the eighty-six patients treated, seventy-nine (almost 92%) had shown significant improvement – while seven had very little or no improvement – indicating that Micro Acupuncture is significantly effective in the treatment of Macular Degeneration. Microcurrent stimulation in the treatment of dry and wet macular degeneration: In DAMD eyes, twice as many patients showed a positive trend (52%) compared to those showing deterioration (26%), and the changes were often sizable, whereas deteriorations were usually very slight (Figures 1 and and5).5). In WAMD eyes, five of six (83%) patients again showed a positive trend, while none showed deterioration. AREDS: With specific vitamins a significant reduction (P = 0.002) for the development of moderate vision loss was seen (OR 0.71; 95% CI, 0.57-0.88). No adverse effects were associated with the AREDS formulation. Mortality was reduced in participants assigned to zinc, especially death from circulatory diseases. (This is the vitamin study.)
